9:00 Had a very nice visit with Gary Jones, Modoc County Superintendent. Left the Modoc COE and headed north on 395, turned onto 299 west and will stay on for 19 miles. Next, slight right toward CA-136 for 51 miles which will bring us into Tulelake. the tarrain coming out of the Alutras valley reminds me of the steps in Russia. up, down, up... but just rolling not to much up or down.
